We are looking for an experienced electrical technician to assemble, and maintain electrical systems with in‑house built test assets which are operating 24 hours. The electrical technician does not design electrical systems but will identify potential problems in design. To be successful as an electrical technician, you should be able to read basic electrical schematics and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty test equipment.

• Assemble, modify and install HIL / Labcar cabling, shelves, power supplies and other test rack equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain and track HIL, test bench, Labcar issues and status to ensure that test equipment assets are fit for use.
• Provide cross‑divisional support to raise, root cause, address and document lab equipment related deficiencies.
• Troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical components and cables of test assets.
• Maintain HIL and Labcar inventory.
• Maintain HIL Cabinet, equipment tool tracking, lab equipment organization and clean up duties as required.

• 3+ years of automotive or aerospace harness assembly design or related experience.
• Experience operating hand and power tools, building harness cables, crimping / stripping wires and terminals, soldering and fault‑testing equipment.
• Knowledge and hands‑on experience and willingness to build rapid‑prototype harnesses, including procurement of components.
• Ability to decipher wiring diagrams and device transmittals.
• Ability to work onsite autonomously.
• Exemplary problem solving and reporting skills.
• Experience packaging harnesses considering communication protocol circuits such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, video, lighting signals is a plus.
• Experience with flashing software on ECUs is a plus.
• Experience with Battery Management Systems is a plus.
• Able to lift 45lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants
:$85,600 - $107,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
