Algorithm Engineer (Ophthalmic imaging) 📍 100% Onsite in Irvine, CA 💰 $150,000 to $180,000 (DOE) 💼:
Full‑Time, Direct Hire
As a Senior Engineer, you'll lead the design and development of advanced software solutions for our next‑generation ophthalmic devices. You'll collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust, scalable, and intuitive applications that meet the unique needs of healthcare providers and patients.
What You'll Do- Lead Development: Drive software analysis, design, implementation, and verification for novel medical devices.
- Build & Innovate: Develop high‑quality, testable code, medical‑grade algorithms, and calibration tools.
- Collaborate: Work closely with product and engineering teams to define requirements, architecture, and interfaces.
- Ensure Quality: Conduct peer reviews, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with medical device standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years in medical imaging algorithm design and implementation.
- Expertise in computer vision, graphics, and AI/ML model development.
- Strong mathematical foundation and experience in ophthalmology or vision science (e.g., retinal segmentation, aberrometry, wavefront, angiography).
- Proficiency in software architecture, design patterns, Git, and Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
