Irvine, CA. Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time. FLSA Status:
Hourly;
Non-Exempt.
Reports to:
District Manager. Travel expected: 50-85% of time.
National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is a certified DBE/WBE firm providing safety services to the railroad industry across the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Provide jobsite coordination.
- Communicate with dispatchers, train crews, and other personnel.
- Deliver clear and thorough job briefings.
- Enforce railroad, state, and federal policies and resolve violations.
- Enforce contractor training requirements.
- Submit daily field reports.
- Provide on-track safety in accordance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations.
- Accountability, adaptability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, customer service focus, decision making, initiative, innovativeness, knowledge, organization, planning, stress tolerance, teamwork, thoroughness.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in railroad environments.
- Proficient computer skills: email, phone, text, Android, Citrix.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Technical knowledge in railroad engineering and safety.
- High accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel, including extended periods.
- Ability to complete federal, client, and company training.
Field work. Must drive long distances, stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, tolerate extreme heat/cold, dusty/noisy conditions, and have clear hearing, speaking, reading, and writing in English.

$28.00 - $37.00 per hour.
