Position

Summary

You will perform compliant laboratory testing to ensure product quality and safety. You will work closely with colleagues across manufacturing, quality and technical teams. We value practical problem-solving, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine analytical tests on raw materials, following approved procedures.
  • Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to keep data reliable.
  • Record, interpret and report accurate results using laboratory information systems.
  • Support investigations, deviations and corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Train colleagues on methods, systems and good laboratory practice to build team capability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects that reduce waste and improve lab efficiency.
Why you? Basic Qualification
  • HND, HNC, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, or relevant practical laboratory experience.
  • Experience in an analytical laboratory within a regulated environment.
  • Practical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and good laboratory practice.
  • Experience working with laboratory information systems and accurate data recording.
  • Ability to follow procedures precisely and to work independently when required.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualification
  • Degree in Chemistry, or related discipline.
  • Experience with HPLC, GC or other chromatography techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience participating in quality systems, audits or laboratory method validation.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving.
Working pattern and location

This is a part time role, working up to 3 days per week. This role is site-based in the United Kingdom at the Irvine site. Working pattern is  and  Monday – Friday. The role is not remote or hybrid.
