** As a Staff Accountant at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:
* Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
* Assist management with financial statements review.
* Analyze financial information, reports (detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities), and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports.
* Review and record sales contracts.
* Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
* Prepare commissions and bonuses for the approval process.
* Prepare schedules, test samples, footnotes, and related disclosures in support of the external audit.
* Use software such as Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software.

* Experience:

*** A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience is required.
* Intermediate-level knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
* Working knowledge of ERP/financial system.

* Education:

** Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting required
* ** Schedule / in-office requirements:**  + Hybrid working model;
Monday-Wednesday in the office, Thursday/Friday from home.  + Our office locations are:
- 500 E John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX    - 1010 N University Parks Drive, Waco, TX
