Police Records Clerk – City of Irving

Assist the public and Police Department staff with records management at the front counter, by phone, fax and email. Prepare, submit and retrieve various records, support the Criminal Justice Information System and perform general office tasks.

• Prepare, submit and retrieve offense reports, accident reports and security clearances.
• Handle Open Records Requests, warrants, affidavits, protective orders and scan documents to electronic storage programs.
• Prepare daily cash reports and deposits; proofread and revise complex police reports and legal documents.
• Answer and route telephone calls and perform general office duties.
• Coordinate and schedule classes, meetings and group sessions; set up meeting rooms for scheduled events.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus six months general clerical experience.
• Previous municipal experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are beneficial.
• Pass a thorough background check; candidates subject to polygraph exam and criminal history check.

Pay Grade GG11 – Full Pay Range $1,868.81 – $2,652.52 per hour
