Senior Business Development Manager – Körber Supply Chain
Location:
Irving, Texas, USA. Full‑time, exempt.
Join our team at Körber Supply Chain and lead strategic customer relationships with postal organizations across the U.S. This role focuses on account planning, new business development, and delivering innovative mail automation concepts to reduce manual labor and costs.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive business growth and meet revenue targets.
- Serve as the primary customer contact across multiple organizations and divisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams – PMO, B&P, Engineering, Service, and Contract Management – to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Conduct market research on emerging industry trends and understand customer needs to develop targeted solutions.
- Build customer roadmaps and long‑term strategies aligned with mutual business goals.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to support customer engagement and networking.
- Monitor KPIs, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide regular forecasts.
- Partner with project managers to align staffing with project needs and ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain high‑level communication with stakeholders, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Resolve customer issues in coordination with relevant internal teams and suppliers.
- Ensure sales data and reporting responsibilities are managed within deadlines.
- Act as a strategic interface between customers and the internal engineering, proposal, and execution teams.
- Lead the preparation of strategic presentations, white papers, and capability documents for customers.
- Assess risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
- Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to senior‑level stakeholders.
- Drive strategic growth initiatives and account expansion.
- 10+ years of business development/sales and contract negotiation experience in mail and parcel automation.
- Proven experience managing customer accounts and driving strategic growth initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of mail processing systems, postal operations, and parcel automation.
- Strategic thinking with a track record of executing account growth plans.
- High‑level financial acumen, including P&L oversight and contract negotiation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer‑relationship management abilities.
- Ability to function well in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and navigate complex customer organizations.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Self‑motivated, self‑directed, and well‑connected; ability to influence across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in collaborative, matrixed environments with diverse stakeholders.
