The RoleThe Business Development Manager serves as a strategic partner to prospective and existing clients. Rather than selling predefined solutions, you’ll engage in meaningful conversations to understand organizational goals, challenges, and opportunities—then collaborate internally to shape tailored engagements that create real value.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, strategic thinking, and helping clients articulate what they truly need—even before they ask for it.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate authentic relationships with prospective and existing clients through thoughtful, consultative conversations
- Lead discovery discussions to understand client challenges, goals, and decision-making context
- Partner with leadership and delivery teams to co-create customized proposals and engagement strategies
- Guide clients through a considered decision-making process rooted in trust and transparency
- Maintain long-term relationships beyond initial engagements, identifying opportunities for continued partnership
- Stay attuned to market trends and client needs to inform Mehr Consultancy’s growth strategy
- Represent Mehr Consultancy’s values and approach in all external interactions, events, and conversations
- Maintain an organized pipeline and provide insights on relationship health and growth opportunities
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, consulting, or client advisory roles
- Strong background in consultative selling or solution-based business development
- Exceptional listening, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to translate complex client needs into thoughtful, actionable solutions
Comfort navigating ambiguity and guiding clients through early-stage problem definition - Experience collaborating with internal teams to design tailored offerings
- Familiarity with CRM tools and relationship management best practices
