Flowserve’s MBA Future Leader Internship Program is a full-time summer experience designed to develop high-potential MBA talent for future leadership opportunities across the organization. Interns will gain exposure to enterprise strategy, operations, and product or portfolio management while working on meaningful business challenges in a global industrial environment. The internship is intended to build a strong pipeline into Flowserve’s MBA Future Leader Program: 2-year rotational experience designed to accelerate the development of high-potential MBA graduates into impactful leadership roles.
Internship DetailsLocation: Dallas, TX
Timing: Full-time summer internship for first-year MBA students.
Level: MBA Intern.
Function Exposure: Business Strategy, Operations, and Portfolio/Product Management.
As an MBA Future Leader Intern, you will work alongside cross-functional leaders on strategic initiatives that support Flowserve’s growth, transformation, and operational performance. Assignments may include:
Supporting strategic planning, business transformation, market assessment, or growth initiatives.
Analyzing operational, supply chain, commercial, or portfolio performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
Contributing to product portfolio, lifecycle management, or innovation projects.
Developing structured business recommendations and presenting findings to project sponsors and leadership.
Partnering with stakeholders across functions, businesses, and geographies to advance project objectives.
Participating in customer engagement, site visits, and business-learning experiences to build understanding of Flowserve’s operations, culture, and global footprint.
Required
Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program, with expected graduation in Spring 2028.
Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, business and/or supply chain.
Three to six years of prior professional experience in industrial, operations or supply chain, product management, commercial, or related roles.
Demonstrated leadership potential, strategic thinking, and strong analytical capabilities.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Willingness to travel and, if selected for a future full-time role, relocate for rotational assignments.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional and/or global teams.
Interest in innovation, industrial technology, and operational excellence.
Through the internship, you will develop a practical understanding of Flowserve’s business, customers, and global operations while building relationships with leaders and peers across the enterprise.
