Position Overview:

F.H. Paschen seeks team members with strong leadership and communication skills. The Project Manager will oversee Job Order Contracting Projects with various clients and project teams, primarily with public agencies. The role involves developing long-term relationships with repeat clients in Higher Education, PK-12 Education, Municipal, and Recreation sectors.

Assigned Responsibilities:

This managerial position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for contracts and/or work orders.

• Foster a collaborative and team-oriented project environment.
• Manage client relationships for assigned contracts.
• Lead the team assigned to these contracts, including Superintendents, and depending on size, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from proposals to closeout.
• Estimate quantities, develop price proposals using prescribed unit price catalogs, submit complete proposals, and negotiate scope and price with clients.
• Oversee the profit/loss of the contract.
• Estimate, schedule, and purchase materials as needed.
• Participate actively in project quality and safety programs.
• Collaborate with staff to provide alternative solutions for clients.
• Monitor Superintendent(s) performance on contracts and work orders.
• Serve as the primary contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers, etc.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of General Contracting and all work divisions.
• Create and maintain project cost and management reports.
• Document and negotiate changes affecting project completion or costs with subcontractors and owners.
• Develop field quality assurance and quality control plans with Superintendents.
• Collaborate on project safety plans with Superintendents.
• Manage MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and/or 5-10 years of construction experience.
• Well-versed in Job Order Contracts.
• Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CM@Risk, is preferred.
• Experience in Higher Ed, PK-12 Education, Municipal, and Recreation markets is preferred.
• Experience in the aviation market is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Microsoft Project, CM14, and/or Procore.
• Strong project management, scheduling, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
