Construction Materials Testing Technician

Location:

Dallas, Texas

Kleinfelder’s Construction Services team is looking for experienced Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join our Dallas, TX office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow proper procedures for construction observation and materials testing on various projects.
  • Complete work in a timely manner.
  • Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets.
  • Perform accurate computations.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
Required Experience & Certifications
  • 1–3 years minimum of construction materials testing or inspection experience.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification.
  • Radiation Safety training for operation of a nuclear density gauge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Ability to use a company‑provided laptop or tablet and working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred (Desired) Certifications
  • TxDOT Testing Certifications.
  • ICC Special Inspector

    • Structural Masonry
    • Spray Applied Fireproofing
    • Structural Steel and Bolting
    • Structural Welding
