Bedding Product Developer

HiEnd Accents

Location:

Irving

Salary: $50,000 - $100,000

As our Bedding Product Developer, you will be the creative force behind our soft home collections, shaping each line from initial concept to final production. You will curate and adapt vendor artwork, build color stories, and specify every detail from quilting techniques to trims. This is a line-building role, not just surface design. You will spend your days refining prints, making smart construction decisions, and assembling production-ready tech packs that keep development on schedule.

Prior experience in home textiles, bedding, or soft home product development is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Architect seasonal assortments and line plans for quilts, comforters/duvets, sheeting, decorative pillows, and throws across our brands.
  • Curate and adapt vendor artwork (color indexing, repeats, overprints) and build colorways to meet line plan goals.
  • Specify constructions and details such as quilting layouts, stitch densities, piecing, embroidery, trims, labels, and packaging.
  • Build and maintain tech packs and BOMs; track samples, strike-offs, lab dips, and approvals with domestic and overseas partners.
  • Partner with Sourcing on costing and value-engineering (materials, finishes, fill weights) to meet target margins.
  • Translate trend and competitive insights into clear concept boards, color palettes, and fabric stories.
  • Support showroom and web merchandising to ensure presentation aligns with design intent.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Product Design, or Graphic Design with soft home experience, or related field.
  • Experience in home textiles or soft home (bedding experience strongly preferred).
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop proficiency; familiarity with 3D or AI concepting a plus.
  • Solid understanding of fabrications, print techniques, quilting, embroidery, and production processes.
  • Portfolio shows collections and tech packs, not just standalone patterns.
  • Organized, collaborative, and comfortable working with global vendors.
  • Standard business hours with occasional early morning or evening vendor Zooms during key milestones (comp time flexibility provided).
  • Some travel for markets and showroom as needed (4-6 weeks per year).
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation and Benefits - We offer market-aligned pay along with vacation time, medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Career Growth and Development - With our continued expansion come abundant opportunities to take on new roles and responsibilities. We invest in our people through ongoing learning and development.
