Occupational Therapist

SINAI Schools is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to serve as a maternity leave replacement beginning in late February and continuing through the end of May at its Irving Montak SINAI at SAR campus in Riverdale, NY. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Occupational Therapy and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

• Use Occupational Therapeutic techniques to address the fine and gross motor deficits of students with disabilities ages 6-10.
• Meet with students individually as well as in groups.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify physical/social/emotional skills and strategies to be targeted in sessions and generalized throughout the day.

• Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (preferred)
• 3-5 years experience, preferably within a special education setting

Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR Academy, for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, is located in Riverdale, NY. Students have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities, and are grouped into multi-graded classes according to their social, academic, and emotional profiles to create appropriate peer groups.
