Position: Teacher
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt
Reports To: Campus Principal

Duty Days: 187 days

Primary PurposeProvide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in core academic subjects to help them fulfill their potential and develop skills for success in a global society.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate for the assigned subject/level
- Completion of Texas Reading Academy (Elementary)
- ESL Supplemental Certification (preferred)
- Competency in core academic subjects
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with technology and integration into teaching
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
Major Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum plans
- Present subject matter according to guidelines
- Use data to plan and adapt instruction
- Collaborate with staff and modify curricula for special needs
- Supervise teacher aide(s) and volunteers
- Utilize technology to enhance learning
- Monitor student achievement
- Assist with extracurricular activities
- Create a positive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior
- Maintain communication with parents and staff
- Participate in district and campus training
- Stay current in content area and teaching strategies
- Follow district policies and regulations
- Maintain records and reports
- Attend meetings and serve on committees
- Adhere to the Educator Code of Ethics
Must communicate effectively, handle stress, interpret procedures, and occasionally travel. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, standing, and light lifting. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor settings, with safety precautions observed.
This is an in-person position. Work from home is not permitted unless approved by the Superintendent.
