Your role- Respond to service calls to assess and restore performance of installed systems and equipment.
- Participate in equipment installation, trial runs, testing, repairs, and overhauls of parcel and postal logistics systems.
- Assist customers on operation, care, and preventive maintenance of installed equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, documenting all inspections and activities.
- Recommend modifications or improvements to enhance system functionality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Support performance evaluations of installed systems based on field data.
- Identify technical issues and take timely actions to resolve them safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure project delivery and sustained performance.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens family PLCs.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC and electrical power distribution systems.
- Understanding of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and problem‑solving in industrial environments.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, willing to take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel on short notice up to 50% of work time, including extended periods away from home.
- Availability to work during off‑hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment, with some experience in automated material handling systems preferred.
