Energy/Power Generation
Tenaska is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and self-motivated individual to join its Digital Infrastructure team. The Digital Infrastructure Analyst/Associate will help identify, evaluate, develop, and commercialize energy and infrastructure solutions serving data centers, artificial intelligence, and other large-load customers.
The position will support opportunities involving powered land, electric interconnections, natural gas and power infrastructure, dedicated and behind-the-meter generation, battery energy storage, long-duration energy storage, and other technologies capable of accelerating customers' access to power. The successful candidate will help convert complex market, technical, commercial, and development information into actionable opportunities and clear recommendations for customers and senior management.
The role requires more than traditional analysis. The Digital Infrastructure Analyst/Associate will be expected to take ownership of assignments, work across functional teams, identify issues and potential solutions, and follow opportunities from initial screening through due diligence, commercial structuring, and project development. The successful candidate will be expected not only to analyze opportunities, but also to help advance them through research, due diligence, stakeholder coordination, process improvement, and execution.
Responsibilities will include evaluating powered land and energy infrastructure opportunities, preparing management and customer presentations, coordinating due diligence, supporting project economics and commercial evaluations, tracking agreements and development activities, and working with development, engineering, legal, finance, and external counter parties. The role will require the ability to develop credible initial assessments and recommendations quickly, including when information is incomplete and circumstances are changing.
Because Digital Infrastructure opportunities often span commercial, development, technical, regulatory, financial, and legal disciplines, the position requires coordination across multiple functions and the ability to synthesize diverse information into practical recommendations and actionable next steps.
The position will also help improve how the Digital Infrastructure team identifies and evaluates opportunities. The successful candidate should be intellectually curious and demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to learn and apply technology tools, including geographic information systems, artificial intelligence, databases, application programming interfaces, Python, and workflow automation. The objective is not simply to produce analysis, but to help the team make informed decisions more quickly, communicate opportunities effectively, and advance projects in a fast-moving and highly competitive market.
To be successful in this role, a candidate must demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to operate effectively in challenging environments with changing priorities and steep learning curves. The position may require domestic travel for customer meetings, project evaluations, site visits, due diligence activities, and industry events.
