Senior Engineer (Automated Assembly Lines)
Join Seksun Texas Inc. – a global manufacturing company specializing in electric vehicle (EV) components – as a Senior Engineer overseeing automated assembly lines at our Dallas facility.
Position SummaryFull‑time, on‑site role in Dallas, TX.
Lead technical operations for automated assembly lines involving ultrasonic welding, soldering, and glue dispensing. Develop preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment, and drive continuous improvement while leading a team of engineers and technicians. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all automated assembly line equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including PLCs and robotics.
- Analyze line performance metrics; identify bottlenecks and drive Kaizen/lean initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance technicians.
- Optimize line layout and process flow in collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Support new product launches and engineering changes; conduct process validations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, UL, ISO 9001/IATF 16949, and other safety and quality standards.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new automation equipment.
- Maintain maintenance logs, technical documentation, and SOPs.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years manufacturing engineering or industrial automation experience; 2+ years supervisory experience.
- Hands‑on experience with ultrasonic welders, soldering stations, glue dispensing equipment, robotics, PLCs.
- Strong preventive maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken).
- Leadership experience coaching technical teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, OSHA safety protocols.
- Analytical mindset; data‑driven approach to production and maintenance.
- Experience with automotive OEM or Tier‑1 suppliers in assembly line engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, robotics programming, or industrial control systems.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced engineering studies.
- Native‑level Mandarin or experience in a Chinese business environment.
