The paid internship takes place during Summer 2027. You will gain practical experience, grow your professional network, develop in-demand skills, and help shape the future of merchandising at the world’s largest convenience retailer.  
** Responsibilities
* ** Assist with the design and development of robotic and electromechanical systems.
* Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using Autodesk Fusion.
* Develop, test, and troubleshoot software for microcontroller-based systems including Arduino and ESP
32 platforms.
* Support sensor integration, motor control, and hardware/software debugging activities.
* Build and assemble prototypes, fixtures, and test equipment.
* Operate and maintain additive and subtractive manufacturing equipment, including: 3D printers, CNC milling machines, and Laser engravers/cutters
* Assist with fabrication of custom mechanical components and assemblies.
* Perform testing, data collection, and validation of robotic systems.
* Document designs, procedures, and test results.
* Participate in engineering design reviews and project planning meetings.
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on multidisciplinary projects.  
** Required Qualifications
*** Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field and graduating December 2027 or May 2028
* Familiarity and comfortability with the safe use of assorted hand and power tools
* Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.
* Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Fusion.
