Financial Controller @ High Growth Distribution & Service Firm
We’re working with a High‑Growth Consumer and Distribution Services Firm. They are seeking a strategically driven professional within their Controllership team to lead within the Company. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this professional will work closely with Finance, M&A, and Executive teams across the business. Responsibilities include managing all Corporate Accounting transactions, Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, Asset Acquisitions, Tax, Audit, and Financial Systems.
KeyFocus Areas
- Oversee all Financial Reporting, Accounting, Technical Accounting, and Corporate Accounting transactions related to General Ledger, Quarterly/Year‑End, Financial Statements, Inter‑Company, Capex, and working capital.
- Creation and management of accounting policies and revenue recognition oversight.
- Run and manage the annual audit.
- Play an active role in evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting new accounting policies and procedures to respond to changes.
- Assist in completion of Tax filings working with an outside CPA firm.
- Monitor and review all accounting processes to ensure controls.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data, ensuring best practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results, and undertake other special projects as requested by the CFO, VP and SVP of Finance.
- Take ownership of financials and adhere to deadlines.
- Forecast, monitor, and track cash flow reports while identifying and evaluating variances.
- Manage and supervise accounting staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must.
- 12 years of accounting experience in Public Accounting and Manufacturing, Service Companies, or Distributions Industry is a plus.
- CPA is preferred.
- Very strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Reporting Systems, and Revenue Recognition is needed.
- Experience in team management and staff development.
