Sr. Analyst, Wholesale Planning

Job Summary

This position will support Vistra's Wholesale Financial Planning and Analysis team with a focus on driving financial projections, analysis of actual results, and internal/external reporting packages, as well as coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders including Commercial, Operations, Accounting, Risk, and Treasury.

• Support Wholesale financial performance analysis across multiple lines of business and regional markets throughout the country.
• Understand interaction of financial drivers and drill into variances to plan and prior year to find meaningful business impacts.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and communicate results to business leaders.
• Assist in coordinating and developing budgets.
• Drive process improvements.
• Analyze competitors and energy market dynamics.
• Review budgets and financial plans submitted by lines of business, and provide constructive feedback.
• Solve problems that require constructive thinking and imaginative approaches using data‑driven analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or other analytical field.
• 3+ years of progressive Finance / Accounting experience, gained through work experience and/or a graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience working with data with ability to query and analyze data efficiently.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills.
• Working knowledge of key financial, accounting and business metrics.
