CANDIDATES MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Financial Analyst to support financial planning, modeling, forecasting, and strategic decision-making for a growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial modeler who can build sophisticated financial models from scratch, rather than simply maintain existing models or update assumptions. This person must possess a strong foundation in financial statements, including a comprehensive understanding of how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement interact. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to independently structure, develop, and analyze complex financial models are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis:
Build comprehensive financial models from the ground up to evaluate business performance, forecast results, assess strategic initiatives, and support management decision-making.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting:
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, developing assumptions and analyzing key drivers of revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Three-Statement Modeling:
Develop and analyze integrated financial models that link the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, demonstrating a clear understanding of how changes in one statement flow through the others.
  • Variance Analysis:
Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key performance drivers, explaining variances, and communicating findings to finance leadership and business partners.
  • Business Performance Analysis:
Evaluate financial and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement across the business.
  • SaaS Metrics & KPIs:
Analyze key SaaS performance indicators, including annual recurring revenue (ARR), monthly recurring revenue (MRR), customer acquisition costs (CAC), customer lifetime value (LTV), churn, retention, gross margin, and revenue growth
  • Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis:
Develop scenario-based models to evaluate changes in business assumptions, growth rates, pricing, operating expenses, headcount, and other financial drivers.
  • Management Reporting:
Prepare financial analyses, reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate complex financial information clearly and support strategic decisions.
  • Cross-functional Partnership:
Collaborate with accounting, sales, customer success, operations, and other departments to understand business drivers, validate assumptions, and improve financial visibility.
  • Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance financial models, reporting processes, data integrity, and analytical capabilities as the business scales.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, FP&A, financial modeling, or a similar analytical finance role.
  • Proven ability to build financial models from scratch, including independently structuring model architecture, developing formulas, establishing assumptions, and creating dynamic outputs.
  • Strong understanding of all three financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, including how the statements connect and flow together.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookup functions, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, dynamic financial models, scenario analysis, and data manipulation.
