City of Irving is currently accepting registration for the next Firefighter entrance examination. Registrants will be notified when the examination date has been set. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be between the ages of 21 and 35 to be hired
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- If time was served in the military, must have proof of discharge under honorable conditions
- Must have a good driving record
- Must have a clear arrest record
- Must have good credit rating
- Must have good hearing in both ears
- Vision must be correctable to 20/20; must be able to distinguish the colors red, green and yellow
