Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I/Lab Assistant / Specimen Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Irving TX 75063

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title - Phlebotomist I/ Lab Assistant / Specimen Technician

Location: 4770 REGENT BLVD, Irving TX 75063

Schedule:
Day and Night

Duration - 03+ months with possible extension

Pay Range: $17 to $20/hr

offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required.

Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously.

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy.

Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed.

Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions.

Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions.

Update patient information in the system.

Record maintenance and decontamination activities.

Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature.

Package specimens for transport to the lab.

Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

6 Months of phlebotomy experience required for a Phlebotomist.

No Experience required for Lab Assistant / Specimen Technician , Biology background preferred.
