Radiology Technician (Full Time) – Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas, Irving, TX

Schedule

Mon, Tue & Thu as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate X‑ray equipment, C‑Arms, and prepare patient room, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • Perform all quality control checks as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
  • Perform highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examinations; document deviations.
  • Practice surgical aseptic procedures.
  • Investigate promptly and follow up on unusual incidents, communicate with directives.
  • Takes emergency call as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.
License
  • Current and active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certificate.
  • Current BLS certification.
Required Experience
  • Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical radiological exam.
  • Ortho and spine experience required.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Responsibility for patient care and safety; minimize hazards of electric shock, burns, and radiation.
  • Assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions based on patient age group.
  • Discuss treatment/service and provide education to patients/families.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.
