Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Operate X‑ray equipment, C‑Arms, and prepare patient room, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide patient services using imaging modalities.
- Practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
- Perform all quality control checks as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
- Perform highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examinations; document deviations.
- Practice surgical aseptic procedures.
- Investigate promptly and follow up on unusual incidents, communicate with directives.
- Takes emergency call as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current and active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certificate.
- Current BLS certification.
- Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical radiological exam.
- Ortho and spine experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Responsibility for patient care and safety; minimize hazards of electric shock, burns, and radiation.
- Assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions based on patient age group.
- Discuss treatment/service and provide education to patients/families.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
