Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to support Therapists/RBTs and clients by filling in for missing team members and minimizing non-billable hours due to grouping or credentialing. This individual will also assist BCBAs as a team leader for clients, serving as a resource for Therapists/RBTs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct ABA therapy prescribed by a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst, ensuring high fidelity across all client levels and abilities.
- Serve as back-up for CA/ACA, COM when out, and assist BCBA, CA/ACA, COM to allow leadership to focus on core tasks.
- Act as Team Leader for a group of clients.
- Respond to challenging behaviors when BCBA and COM are unavailable.
- Support BCBA with client program updates and material preparation.
- Maintain center organization, including toys and materials, and report safety concerns such as broken toys, furniture issues, or holes in walls.
- Coordination of session flow: Advise therapists on session flow and assist with client navigation of the center's physical spaces. Schedule activities like circle time, gross motor activities, snacks, and group sessions.
- Organization: Responsible for organizing therapy rooms, toys, and client materials appropriately for age. Everyone contributes to overall center organization.
- Safety Checks: Conduct weekly safety walkthroughs, report concerns to CA/ACA, including broken toys or property damage. CA may assist with repairs and safety checks.
- Customer Service: Engage with parents during therapy sessions, modeling effective communication and contributing to a positive customer experience.
- LEARN Tree: Assist in updating client programming under BCBA guidance.
- Plan Updates: Support assessments and programming updates through observations and material preparation, assisting BCBA as needed.
RBT/Therapists: Contribute or serve as backup for new hire onboarding, training, and note quality checks.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Current RBT credential and RBT V
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties may be added or removed as needed.
