Role Description The Driver Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, TX. This position is responsible for sourcing, contacting, and qualifying professional drivers through phone, email, in-person events, and online platforms. Day-to-day activities include managing the driver application process, conducting initial screenings and interviews, coordinating background checks and compliance documentation, and maintaining accurate records in recruitment systems. The Driver Recruiter also supports onboarding, collaborates closely with operations and safety teams, and contributes to driver retention initiatives by building strong relationships and providing responsive communication.

This role requires consistent follow-up with candidates, active participation in recruitment campaigns, and representation of National Carriers at job fairs or industry events as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and compliance practices relevant to commercial drivers.
• Experience with Hiring, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing driver candidates.
• Understanding of Driver Retention strategies and the ability to build positive driver relationships.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
• Proven Customer Service skills and a professional, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking recruitment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, basic computer applications, and standard office software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, human resources, or a related field is a plus.
