Job Description

Job Title: Technology Manager - GCP Cloud Architect

Travel: 25%

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud‑based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate GCP services for specific business requirements.
  • Create and maintain cloud infrastructure diagrams and documentation.
  • Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines, networks, storage, and other GCP resources.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance and availability.
  • Develop and deploy cloud‑native applications using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Integrate with other GCP services like Big Query, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
  • Ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance in the cloud.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain security best practices and controls within the GCP environment.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (HIPAA, SOC 2).
    • Monitor for and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g., development, operations, security) to deliver successful cloud projects.
    • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage).
  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VPNs).
  • Experience with data analytics and big data technologies.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
