Position Overview
Leads the development and management of data platform engineering capabilities, enabling reliable, scalable, and secure environments through automation, CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery), and modern developer tooling to accelerate product delivery.
EssentialJob Duties /Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing platform engineering team fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and developer tooling to support efficient data product delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and data teams to standardize infrastructure, security, and deployment practices across environments.
- Manage modernization and scalability initiatives to enhance reliability, monitoring, and performance of data platform components.
- Lead platform engineering operations, ensuring governance, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to evaluate and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve delivery speed and platform resilience.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, Information systems, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in platform engineering, Dev Ops, or data infrastructure
- Proven expertise with automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Understanding of data platform operations, security, and observability best practices
- Strategic and technical leadership to enable secure and scalable platform capabilities
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to optimize automation and reliability
- Communication and collaboration skills to align cross‑functional engineering and data teams
- Some travel required
- Experience leading large distributed engineering teams
- Proficiency with modern infrastructure-as-code practices
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
Pay Range: $ – $ per year
