Lead Developer IT

Job Summary

The Lead Developer IT Technical Integration & Development will be responsible for providing application maintenance and/or development of Vistra Corporation IT shared applications supporting Vistra and ensuring compliance with performance and availability metrics to support business objectives.

• Develop and implement enhancements to shared applications and provide ongoing support for Vistra Corp's shared applications.
• Understand and deliver on functional support needs and provide guidance and leadership to other technical developers on the team.
• Follow application support and development process standards and metrics monitoring and reporting to ensure shared applications are available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes.
• Work closely with application vendors, service providers, and internal teams to define and achieve key performance indicators and Service Level Agreements.
• Participate in application development projects and in the development of shared application business cases.
• Provide input to short‑ and long‑term strategic plans to ensure the application architecture meets existing and future needs.
• Execute disaster recovery and business continuity test plans and evaluate results.
• Conduct research and evaluate market insight of current and future technology innovations and make recommendations.

• College degree in business information systems, computer science, or equivalent experience with emphasis in information technology.
• Eight plus years of IT application maintenance and/or development experience; retail utility industry knowledge preferred.
• Experience with the Inovis application.
• Interface development experience:
  Java, XML, Maximo, and DB2 database.
