Job Description
This role requires deep knowledge of Ansible, infrastructure-as-code principles, and best practices to ensure seamless automation, deployment, and configuration management.
- Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, modules, and inventories for large-scale environments.
- Architect and administer Ansible Tower / AWX including workflows, job templates, RBAC, credentials, and inventories.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and compliance across Linux/Unix, Windows, network devices, and cloud platforms.
- Write reusable and modular Ansible roles following best practices (Galaxy standards).
- Build and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines using Ansible with Git Lab, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, etc.
- Integrate Ansible automation with VMware, Red Hat, Kubernetes, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and other enterprise platforms.
- Migrate manual operational tasks to automated workflows to achieve consistency and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation code for performance and reliability.
- Develop documentation, SOPs, and maintenance procedures for automated systems.
- Work closely with Dev Ops teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement security best practices through automation, ensuring systems comply with relevant standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Perform vulnerability assessments, automate patching, and manage the remediation of security issues.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code principles to provision and manage infrastructure using Ansible and other related tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev Ops, Infrastructure, Networking, Security) to deliver automation solutions.
