Position Overview

The Senior Functional Consultant will serve as a subject‑matter expert in Dynamics 365 Project Operations (Integrated ERP) and D365 Finance & Operations (F&O / Finance & Supply Chain Management) with a strong emphasis on Project Management Accounting (PMA). This role will support a multi‑entity, multi‑state organization undergoing a major F&O re‑implementation revisiting its chart of accounts, optimizing PMA, and improving project‑to‑finance integration.

• Lead functional design, configuration, and validation of Dynamics 365 Project Operations Integrated ERP or Project Operations Lite with PMA.
• Design project structures including quotations, contracts, WBS, tasks, billing methods, pricing structures, and project templates.
• Configure and validate project entity integration between Dataverse/CE and F&O using dual‑write including mapping, synchronization, and troubleshooting.
• Support end‑to‑end project lifecycle processes across CE and F&O, including project creation, resource assignments, time & expense management, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with CE and F&O teams to ensure project master data is standardized across business units and legal entities.

• Lead configuration and optimization of the Project Management Accounting (PMA) module including project groups, categories, costing, budgeting, WIP, invoicing, and financial dimensions.
• Participate in redesigning corporate chart of accounts, project structures, and financial dimensions to support multi‑entity operations and cross‑state business units.
• Support implementations for legal entity structure where the parent company functions as a holding entity for multiple state‑based operating units.
• Validate posting profiles, GL integration, revenue recognition methods, and project accounting rules.
• Support subcontract order processes, project procurement, and vendor management workflows.

• Lead data migration strategy for project entities, including historical projects, open transactions, pricing, WIP, budgets, and category mappings.
• Design and maintain data mapping documents, transformation rules, and reconciliation procedures.
• Execute and validate migrations using Data Management Framework (DMF) including templates, staging, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct data validation cycles, reconciliation testing, and post‑migration audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• 3‑4 years functional consulting experience with Dynamics 365 Project Operations (Integrated ERP) or Project Service Automation (PSA) with F&O integration.
• Hands‑on implementation experience with Project Operations Integrated ERP (preferred) or Project Operations Lite (requires PMA expertise).
• Deep understanding of Dataverse/CE project management processes and F&O Project Management Accounting (PMA), including WIP, revenue recognition, costs, budgets, and posting profiles.
• Proven project ERP experience including project quotations, contracts, WBS design, tasks, project‑to‑F&O dual‑write integration.
• Experience with time & material, fixed price, and percent‑complete billing; financial dimensions, GL integration, and allocations.
• Subcontract order processing experience.
• Demonstrated experience migrating project data including historical transactions, WIP, pricing, budgets, project master data, and open balances.
• Strong command of DMF, staging tables, import/export strategies, and data validation.
• Self‑directed problem solver, fast learner, and end‑to‑end ownership mindset.
• Technical validation skillset, able to test integrations, dual‑write mapping changes, Business Events Catalog triggers, and workflow logic.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple SI partners, internal finance teams, PMs, and technical teams.
