Systems Engineer, Cybersecurity
This position requires an advanced level of technical knowledge and skills so as to perform its responsibilities with minimal guidance. Duties include radio code plug creation and training; diagnostic troubleshooting, system installation, repair, configuration and maintenance of the City’s public safety two‑way communications network, microwave network, fiber network, transport network and outdoor Wi‑Fi network; providing technical support to potential system partners or users;
and also provides support for ancillary systems including but not limited to the early warning system, fire station alerting, radio recording system, CBRS network, CNWave Network and conventional RF systems. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major course work in computer science, information systems or a closely related field and three years of job related work experience in radio and wide area or metro area communications equipment and systems or a similar field required.

-800 training will also be required. Candidates will be subject to a CJIS criminal history check and must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered. PAY GRADE IT26 / FULL PAY RANGE $7,525 - $10,611 PER MONTH
