Lead Business Systems Analyst – Oracle EBS support or similar ERP / WMS systems support - Dallas, TX – onsite 5x / wk

Expert Technical Solutions has an immediate opening for a Lead Business Systems Analyst with one of our premier clients in Dallas, TX – near the DFW airport.

The Lead Business Systems Analyst plays a central role in guiding system operations, supporting product and process enhancements, and ensuring smooth delivery of client programs within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position oversees both functional analysis and day-to-day team leadership, with responsibilities spanning issue resolution, requirements gathering, testing coordination, training, documentation, and process optimization for systems supported by the Irving support center.

In this leadership role, the analyst serves as a subject matter expert for a core functional domain within a supply chain warehouse environment, while also overseeing SMEs in other operational areas. This position manages a team of analysts and provides direction around workload planning, performance management, and prioritization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex application issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Serve as the SME for one major functional area within warehouse / supply chain operations and guide SMEs in additional areas.
  • Lead and coordinate requirement gathering, process reviews, test cycles, issue tracking, and system go-live support.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across management, business partners, and technology teams—both verbally and in writing.
  • Balance multiple high-priority initiatives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Produce and update documentation, training materials, and operational guidelines.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior analysts, providing technical and functional guidance.
  • Manage the daily activities of up to 10 Business Analysts, including performance evaluations, capacity planning, and workload assignment.
  • Build strong working relationships with business sponsors, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Adapt to a wide variety of team roles including analyst, tester, trainer, document writer, facilitator, and team lead.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT or business systems analysis.
  • 7–8 years of progressive experience in Business Systems Analysis within an IT environment (required for senior‑level competency).
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting internal or external customers in an operational or technical capacity.
  • 3+ years of experience working with large‑scale distributed systems.
  • Direct exposure (3+ years) to ERP platforms such as Oracle EBS, Net Suite, or SAP.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role overseeing performance and day‑to‑day activities of direct reports.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL/T‑SQL, including queries, temporary tables, stored procedures, and data troubleshooting.
  • Industry background strongly preferred in supply chain, manufacturing, or reverse logistics, with familiarity in warehouse environments, WMS technologies, inventory management, and order processing workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio (or similar tools).

  • Experience building reports and extracting data from data warehouses or data libraries.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its phases.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications, tools, and system functionalities.
  • Skilled at interpreting time‑sensitive data from multiple sources and collaborating with partners to make informed decisions.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success meeting tight deadlines and delivering high‑quality results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proactive mindset with an eye for identifying and driving process improvements.
