Position SummarySwoon is seeking a Network Engineer / LAN Analyst to support enterprise network operations and infrastructure projects across the Americas for a global manufacturing client. This hands-on role focuses on Cisco switching, LAN implementation, troubleshooting, and production support. You will work closely with network teams, business partners, and vendors to resolve connectivity issues, implement infrastructure changes, and improve network reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues, replacing defective network components as needed.
- Configure and support Cisco switches and enterprise LAN infrastructure.
- Support networking technologies including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, VLAN trunking, OSPF, spanning tree, QoS, IP subnetting, and copper and fiber cabling.
- Respond to LAN support requests and participate in rotating on-call coverage for critical incidents.
- Partner with business stakeholders and vendors to coordinate infrastructure integrations.
- Collaborate with firewall, VPN, wireless, and network access control teams to plan and execute network changes.
- Follow IT service management processes and maintain documentation for infrastructure changes.
- Develop and improve processes that support network implementation and ongoing operations.
- Advise business partners on LAN-related technical questions and issues.
