The SAP Functional Deployment Team Analyst extends the approved global SAP template and localized configuration to assigned deployment plants. The role focuses on plant-specific configuration, deployment execution, coordination, testing, cutover readiness, and post-go-live stabilization. The position does not own new solution design or build; requirements that cannot be addressed through the existing global solution are documented and escalated to Solution Delivery for evaluation and approval.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Identify and document baseline and local configuration requirements for sites within assigned deployment waves.
- Confirm alignment to the approved global template and identify plant-specific configuration and localization through fit-to-template analysis and site questionnaires.
- Extend and configure the approved SAP solution for assigned plants within designated functional work streams, following design standards, release management, and ChaRM governance.
- Maintain Configuration Requirements Documents (CRDs) and complete associated Azure Dev Ops activities, including execution, review, tracking, traceability, and MDM synchronization tasks.
- Complete unit testing and documentation for plant-specific configuration extensions and confirm that the global template operates as designed.
- Serve as Cutover Champion for assigned functional work streams during dress rehearsals and production cutover events.
- Develop, review, coordinate, and execute functional cutover plans and activities, including configuration updates, table maintenance, batch jobs, RFC connection setup, and validation.
- Collaborate with Deployment Test Leads to identify testing impacts; maintain qTest test cases; support progression testing, validation, and defect triage.
- Own data- and configuration-related incidents during Hypercare; document and coordinate resolution of defects and process issues.
- Escalate solution defects, design gaps, and requirements requiring net-new design or build to Solution Delivery.
- Provide regular status reporting on configuration progress, risks, issues, cutover execution, Hypercare trends, stabilization, and deployment readiness.
- Partner across Deployment Hub, Solution Delivery, Release Management, PMO, Business Process Owners, Test, site, and Hypercare teams to improve deployment execution and governance.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience, including hands-on plant deployments, rollout of a global template, deployment configuration, or production support in an enterprise ERP environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or deployment programs.
- Experience in one or more SAP functional areas:
Order-to-Cash (OTC), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management (TM), Production (PRD), Source-to-Pay (STP), Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Master Data Management/Governance (MDM/MDG), or SAP Security.
