We are seeking a talented, driven Associate Attorney with a passion for family law to join our growing team.
P.D.E - Pay Depends on Experience
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of family law matters from initial consultation through resolution
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal briefs
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as needed
- Client Counseling:
Help clients navigate the emotional and legal complexities of family law with empathy and clarity - Settlement Negotiations:
Work to resolve disputes amicably and efficiently, minimizing prolonged litigation - Maintain regular client communication and provide high-level service
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff
- Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop legal strategies
- Stay informed on developments in Texas family law and related legal trends
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas
- Good standing with Texas Bar
- Minimum 3 years of family law experience preferred (clerkships and internships considered)
- Must have courtroom experience, including temporary hearings, motion practice, and trials, with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Technology Proficiency:
Proficiency in legal research databases, case management software, and other technology tools that enhance legal practice efficiency - Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Excellent judgment, ethics, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Board Certification in Family Law or interest in pursuing certification is a plus
