Procurement Associate – Mechanical Equipment

Location: Irving, TX

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Our client is seeking a Procurement Associate to support mechanical equipment purchasing and delivery for a large-scale data center construction program.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement – Mechanical, you’ll work with suppliers, engineering teams, and construction partners to keep equipment orders and deliveries aligned with project milestones.

• Manage purchase orders for chillers, cooling towers, air-handling equipment, pumps, piping, valves, and VFDs.
• Prepare RFQs, compare supplier bids, and support sourcing activities.
• Track long-lead equipment, production milestones, shipping, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate delivery logistics, vendor submittals, approvals, and factory testing schedules.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, shortages, shipping damage, and warranty issues.
• Maintain supplier records, purchasing reports, and performance tracking.

• 4–6 years of procurement experience purchasing capital equipment, engineered systems, or construction materials.
• Direct buying experience with mechanical or HVAC equipment

• Working knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and ERP-based purchasing.
• Experience expediting equipment and managing supplier delivery commitments.
• Understanding of freight terms, Incoterms, milestone payments, and warranties.
• Strong Excel, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, or heavy industrial experience preferred. Familiarity with OFCI/CFCI, EPC contractors, and Dynamics 365 or Coupa is a plus
