Position Overview
The Fleet/Facilities & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all company vehicles, physical facilities, safety programs, and critical inventory operations for Reliant Air Conditioning. This role ensures our entire team have a safe, compliant, and highly efficient working environment. The position blends hands‑on leadership with strategic planning to maintain operational readiness across the business.
Fleet Management- Oversee the entire company fleet (service vans, trucks, trailers, and specialty vehicles).
- Coordinate vehicle assignments, replacements, fleet rotation, and long‑term planning.
- Manage all preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and registration compliance.
- Conduct regular fleet audits to verify vehicle condition, inventory, tools, and safety equipment.
- Track fuel usage, mileage, and costs; monitor efficiency.
- Maintain fleet records, warranty info, maintenance logs, and telematics/GPS systems.
- Monitor and distribute driver scorecards weekly.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the Reliant AC warehouse and office facilities.
- Manage building repairs as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment, warehouse racking, and workstations meet safety and operational standards.
- Maintain building access systems, cameras, lighting, parking lots, and storage areas.
- Oversee monthly facility inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee company inventory operations, including equipment, parts, and materials.
- Track and maintain accurate inventory levels, reorder supplies and equipment as needed, and ensure strong inventory controls are in place.
- Collaborate with Install, Service, and Warehouse teams to ensure all crews are stocked and equipped daily.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s safety program to meet OSHA and industry standards.
- Conduct safety training for installers, technicians, warehouse staff, and office personnel.
- Perform jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with ladders, PPE, electrical safety, fall protection, and equipment handling.
- Investigate incidents, near‑misses, accidents, and workers’ comp claims; maintain accurate OSHA 300 records.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain MSDS sheets, signage, and documented training logs.
- Lead monthly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain emergency preparedness plans.
- Work closely with Install, Service, Warehouse, and Operations teams to support company goals.
- Serve as the point of contact for all fleet, facility, safety, and inventory‑related issues.
- Build systems, checklists, and processes to improve efficiency and maintain high standards.
- Monitor inventory of safety equipment, cones, fire extinguishers, PPE, and fleet tools.
- Provide clear communication and regular updates to leadership.
- Manage a team of 3‑5.
