Overview

As the Associate Director, you will partner with the Site Director & SVP to build fulfillment operations. Your time will be split between running daily operations, driving improvement measures, and shaping operational strategy. If you want to lead from the front‑lines, drive change, and have a real impact, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Identify problems in the fulfillment operations and drive continuous improvement strategies for the distribution center.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop an operations improvement roadmap in partnership with the SVP and other site directors.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, GMP, SQF, food safety, and facility compliance while meeting operational goals and continuously improving production.
  • Drive Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery while expanding capabilities to meet warehouse mandatory requirements.
  • Lead and supervise a team of managers, their supervisors, and hourly associates.
  • Share and exchange operational best practices with associate directors of other sites.
  • Develop and deliver operational procedures for all fulfillment and sorting processes.
  • Drive strategic planning and forecasting to ensure operational alignment.
  • Reward and recognize performance and execute progressive discipline as needed.
  • Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression and learning.
  • Create a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees in the fulfillment center to provide feedback, drive change, adapt to ever‑changing business, and focus on customer experience.
  • Drive a customer‑focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on and able to solve problems on the spot.
  • Resilient and comfortable with occasional re‑prioritization.
  • Not interested in playing politics; prefer merit‑based solutions.
  • Ready to learn on the job and see every task as a personal growth opportunity.
  • Consistently tracks KPI’s and metrics in real‑time to move fast, spot trends, and react early.
  • Clear on who your team’s customer is and how to create value for them.
  • Prefers sustainable growth over shortcuts and asks if what we build today will serve us well long‑term.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience managing operations or production within the Food/Beverage/Perishables sector.
  • Familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and/or night shifts.
