Seksun Texas Inc. is part of a global manufacturing company producing critical components for the electric vehicle (EV) industry and serving the automotive, medical device, and consumer electronics sectors. Our Dallas‑area facility in Irving, TX is a fully automated assembly plant specializing in assembling current collector parts and busbar charge port components for EVs. We utilize advanced processes such as precision ultrasonic welding, soldering, and automated glue dispensing to ensure high‑quality, efficient manufacturing of these critical components.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance:
Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan for all automated assembly line equipment (e.g., ultrasonic welders, soldering machines, glue dispensers, robotic systems) to maximize uptime and equipment reliability. - Troubleshooting & Repair:
Lead hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems on the assembly lines. Quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate prompt corrective actions to minimize production downtime. - Production Efficiency:
Monitor and analyze assembly line performance metrics (cycle time, yield, OEE, etc.) to ensure optimal efficiency. Identify bottlenecks or process issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, lean manufacturing) that enhance throughput, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. - Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance technicians. Provide hands‑on guidance and training, assign daily tasks, and lead by example on the factory floor to foster a proactive, high‑performance maintenance culture. - Process Optimization:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Production, Quality, Engineering) to optimize line layout and process flow for better productivity. - New Product Introduction:
Support new product launches and engineering changes by ensuring equipment readiness, conducting process validations, and smoothing the integration of new products into existing assembly lines. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with OSHA workplace safety regulations and relevant industry standards. Uphold adherence to product and quality standards (e.g., UL certification requirements, ISO 9001/IATF 16949) and promote a culture of safety and quality on the production floor. - Equipment Installation:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new or upgraded automation equipment on the production lines, working closely with equipment vendors and global engineering teams to integrate best practices and improvements. - Documentation & SOPs:
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and technical documentation. Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation, setup, and maintenance to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer. - Spare Parts Management:
Manage the spare parts and consumables inventory for the assembly lines. Coordinate with procurement to ensure critical spare parts are in stock and readily available to support preventive maintenance and rapid repairs.
