Optimization Specialist - HROC; Northeast Region

Overview

Optimization Specialist - HROC (Northeast Region) at Heidelberg Materials North America. • Monitor the cement manufacturing process from the centralized operations center; analyze equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within specified parameters.
• Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues in a timely manner; collaborate with plant and HROC teams to resolve problems to minimize downtime and production losses.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities to assist in analysis of operational data, identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure safe and continuous operation, product quality, and compliance with environmental requirements in coordination with plant personnel and other HROC staff.

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing. Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may substitute for a degree.
• Previous experience in a similar industrial environment is desirable, but not required due to the comprehensive training program. This position includes a 6-to-8-month training period covering cement manufacturing processes and equipment and key responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy and precision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
• Ability to travel in both the United States and Canada as required.
