Shift & Rotation

3 12‑hour night shifts 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Patient Population

OB patients >20 weeks gestation.

Patient Ratios

1:2 (L&D); 1:2‑3 (OB Triage – contingent on OB patient acuity, phase of care and census).

Number of Beds

10 L&D rooms, 2 OB Triage.

Registered Nurse Requirements
  • 18 months / 1.5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, preferably at level III or higher
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • License/Certification
  • RN – Registered Nurse
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 30 days of hire)
  • AWHONN intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (required within 30 days of hire)
