• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

• Provide friendly, courteous and helpful service to customers.
• Assist customers throughout the shift, answering questions and ensuring satisfaction.
• Clean, fill, and rotate the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department during the shift.
• Under direct supervision, replenish product as instructed by the manager or assistant manager.

The bulk deli clerk position consists of two shifts: a morning shift that includes replenishment and customer service, and a full shift that maintains cleanliness and customer support throughout the day. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
