• Read and write Spanish and English, interact with the general public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Under the direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Assist customers with product location and information.
• Clean display cases, shelves, and self‑serve displays; fill and rotate items.
• Work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.
• Perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods.
• Maintain a fast‑paced grocery store environment.

Physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory attention as needed.
