• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning display cases and shelves, and maintaining self‑serve displays. The role requires working various hours, including nights and weekends, and performing heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods.
