As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be a key member of our sales organization—educating homeowners, qualifying opportunities, and driving the early stages of the customer journey toward clean energy adoption. Your expertise, communication skills, and results-driven mindset will directly impact overall growth and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong rapport with inbound leads and evaluate customer needs to determine solar readiness.
- Conduct outbound outreach to warm and cold leads to generate new sales opportunities.
- Educate homeowners on solar energy solutions, financial incentives, system design basics, and the installation process.
- Qualify prospects and schedule high-quality appointments for outside sales and design teams.
- Manage and nurture your pipeline within the CRM, ensuring accurate notes, activity tracking, and timely follow-ups.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly KPIs related to calls, conversions, appointments, and sales.
- Partner with marketing, design, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from first touch to install.
- Stay informed on solar products, energy policies, local incentives, and financing programs to support customer conversations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the sales process, providing insights and feedback.
- All other duties assigned.
- Strong understanding of the solar sales cycle, customer qualification, and energy economics.
- Exceptional communication, listening, and persuasion skills.
- Experience working with CRM software and digital communications tools.
- Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for renewable energy and educating customers on sustainable solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in the solar industry preferred.
- Proven track record of solar sales or high-performance inside sales roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
