Underground Utility Worker – Civil Construction

Job Summary

MNC JOBS INFO is seeking a dedicated and skilled Underground Utility Worker to join our civil construction projects team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground utility systems, including water, gas, sewage, and electrical lines. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

• Excavate and prepare sites for underground utility installation or repair.

• Install, maintain, and repair pipelines, conduits, and other utility infrastructure.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate placement of utilities.

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and tools required for excavation and utility work.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems, leaks, or damages.

• Follow all safety protocols and comply with local regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other construction personnel to ensure timely project completion.

• Document work performed, including progress reports, materials used, and issues encountered.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in construction or utilities is a plus.

• Strong understanding of underground utility systems, installation methods, and maintenance practices.

• Proficiency in operating excavation equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and hand tools.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.

• Knowledge of safety procedures, including OSHA or equivalent compliance standards.

• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various environmental conditions.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground utility work, civil construction, or related fields.

• Prior experience in pipeline installation, repair, or maintenance is highly desirable.

• Full-time, typically 40 hours per week
