Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Make Ready Technician to join our team at Mission at La Villita Apartments in Irving.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys transforming vacant apartments into clean, welcoming homes for new residents.

New to multifamily? That's okay.

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and ensure homes are move‑in ready
• Complete painting, drywall repairs, caulking, cleaning, and general repairs
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and maintenance repairs
• Inspect apartment homes and identify items requiring repair
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders
• Assist with grounds, common areas, and curb appeal as needed
• Work with the maintenance and office teams to ensure apartments are completed on schedule
• Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents

• Previous make-ready, apartment maintenance, construction, remodeling, or related experience preferred
• Hands‑on experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, or carpentry is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Dependable work ethic and ability to manage priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform physically active work throughout the day
• Positive and professional attitude
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
