Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and social service evaluations for K-12 students. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide social work support, interventions, and counseling to help students overcome barriers to learning. Interpret and communicate assessment findings to educational teams and families. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Offer expertise and recommendations during multidisciplinary meetings to ensure the best educational outcomes.
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification
- Prior experience as a school-based Social Worker or Educational Diagnostician preferred
- Familiarity with the K-12 academic setting and diverse student populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Capacity to assess students needs and contribute to effective educational planning
