The Software Developer in Supply Chain Solutions is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that optimize supply chain operations in the mail and parcel sorting industry. This role involves working on development projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of supply chain software systems.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Develop software under guidance of software architects, including migration of existing software and creation of new software for existing and exciting new projects.
- Collaborate with test engineers to review how completed software works in the live environment of mail processing.
- Debug and troubleshoot any software issues in partnership with test engineers.
- Understand software requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs in the mail and parcel sorting industry.
- Develop software for various platforms and integrate software applications with existing supply chain systems to ensure seamless operations and data flow.
- Participate in customer technical meetings to support technical applications.
- Learn and assist in the entire life cycle of projects, from requirements engineering to final deployment.
- Gather and analyze requirements in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Work in a collaborative and team‑based environment, traveling throughout the U.S. up to 25% for customer meetings and integration testing.
- Complete other tasks as required.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Have experience with C#, C/C++, Java, XML, and/or .NET framework.
- Have familiarity with source control software packages such as Dev Ops, Git Hub, etc.
- Have proven experience in software development with a focus on supply chain solutions.
- Have experience with distributed systems architecture, multithreaded application development, and/or GUI development.
- Have 1 to 4 years of software development experience (required).
- Have an active sensitive security clearance or be able to obtain a USPS sensitive clearance.
- Have been part of a high‑performing, multi‑site, and multi‑program team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Have good oral and verbal communication, reporting, and writing skills.
- Will work locally in Irving, TX, in a hybrid work environment.
